We have started a terrible habit. We never check our mail. By never, I don't mean we go a day or two without checking. On a good week we check the mailbox once. Our mail is delivered to one of those "community mailboxes". It is exactly 25 steps away from our front door. I drive by it on my way home from work, but I can't bring myself to stop there more than once a week. The odd thing is, if you made me wait a week to check my email I would feel sick to my stomach. Is it because the only thing we receive in our mail box are bills, and the odd magazine? I'm not sure. When I picked up the mail on my way home tonight there was a HUGE stack. Bills, a magazine, flyers... I began to wonder what the mail-delivery-person must think. Do they imagine that we are world travelers? Frequently flying off to exotic, far-away destinations? Do they imagine that we are jet-setting business people? Independently wealthy? Good-will ambassadors? Or do they picture us, cozied up on the couch, fireplace on, watching tv... being just, plain lazy? Probably.

hmmph! this explains why you did not rsvp to my invitation to lunch with the ladies at the day-spa followed by mud baths and hot stone massages and 2 hrs on the sunbed.
really dahling! :-)
Can I just say:
I LOVE recieving post and I all think we should be sending more. It shows effort and care and love and thought so lets all make an effort to keep "post" alive!
Can you not create a British Letterbox and have the postman post mail through your door?!

How can you go that long? It would kill me.
I'm sure the neighbours think I'm mental, I would check my mail about 3-4 times a day at least. I spend my life buying online from overseas eg victorias secret, revolve clothing and EBAY so I'm forever waiting for things to turn up. The people in my street must think I have an OCD problem.
Bubbles you crack me up....(that means I think your really funny in Aussie slang)
oooh, I do have to admit Emma-Kate, when I have made a purchase on Etsy I check the mail box EVERY DAY until it arrives... but then it is ignored again for vast periods of time.

I wish I didnt have to check my mail, could forget about the bills then - that is until the internet stopped working.......
